![]() ![]() In radial cleavage, the eight-celled stage has two layers of four cells, with each cell located below or above the other cell. In the human zygote, cleavage occurs in the fallopian tubule. Radial cleavage takes placein a manner where the spindle axis is parallel or at 90 degree angles to the polar axis of the oocyte. Radial cleavage is the unique feature of deuterostomes. Holoblastic segmentation occurs in two ways. Holoblastic cleavage furrows divide the entire egg. There are primarily three types of cleavages that is the holoblastic, meroblastic, and transitional cleavages. An egg can be divided or sliced from different planes during cleavage. ![]() ![]() The rapid mitotic divisions are entirely under the control of mRNA stored in the oocyte by the mother. The cleavages lead to formation of a compact mass of blastomeres that is known asmorula. In following stages of growth and development of embryo, the blastomeres migrate to take in different regions and differentiate into different types of body cells. ![]() The process of cleavage is a series of mechanical activity in which a one-celled egg is converted into an embryo containing multiple cells-the process of cleavage through several mitotic divisions’ results in structure called blastomeres. The developing embryo undergoes morphogenesis in order to create different tissues and organs through cleavage, gastrulation, and organogenesis. ![]()
